the connect platform consists of two distinct categories of participants individuals (users) and organisations with the platform supporting the mapping of the relationship and roles that individuals and organisation have with each other individual users onboarding individual onboarding and authentication process is supported by a fapi grade openid connect authentication and authorisation server that supports multiple authentication and registration mechanisms including federated authentication and registration with openid and oauth authentication services microsoft 365 google others user registration supporting a variety of individual attributes capture email and phone validation multi factor authentication using totp advanced individual terms and conditions presentation and capture using smart card or digitial signature signing simple individual terms and conditions presentation and capture in platform organisation participant onboarding there are several ways organisations can be onboarded onto the platform ecosystem administrators can use the platforms user interface to create new organisations and associate the individuals to the appropriate roles newly onboarded individual participants can request a new organisation be added within the platform this will initiate a contracts signing process which, if successfully completed, will result in the organisation being added and the requesting individual being added ecosystem administrators can use the platforms apis to integrate with external systems to manage participants once an individual is associated with an organisation in the role of organisation administrator
